She emphasized that the flights are not illegal but rather a coordinated effort within agreed frameworks that respect Mexico’s sovereignty.

Sheinbaum also responded to concerns over threats from former U.S. President Donald Trump, asserting that she is not afraid and has the support of the Mexican people.

She made it clear that Mexico would not accept any actions that violate its sovereignty, including potential U.S. military intervention, despite the recent U.S. designation of several Mexican drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations (FTOs).

She further explained that while Mexico does not oppose U.S. efforts to combat money laundering related to these cartels, it will not allow actions that undermine its sovereignty.

Sheinbaum stressed the importance of collaboration without interference, referencing the adjustments made under former President López Obrador's administration to clarify the limits of U.S. operations within Mexico.
