Kolo's number and Conceição's goal: Inter fail to score, Juventus win. And Conte stays +2

A Juventus football player wearing a black-and-white striped jersey points to the club's logo on his shirt, with a determined expression. In the background, other players are visible on the pitch.

Dumfries hit the post in the first half then the Portuguese made the Stadium explode in the 74th minute after a great play by Kolo Muani.

The Lady wins the Italian derby and extends the Bianconeri Valentine's Day. Juventus only needs a goal from Francisco Conceicao a quarter of an hour from the end to beat Inter and spark a party at the Allianz Stadium.

February, just like a year ago in Bologna, confirms itself as the "month" of Thiago Motta who scores his fourth consecutive victory between the league and the Champions League.

The win over Inter, however, is worth more than the three points that allow Locatelli and his teammates to catch up with Lazio and fourth place in the Champions League.

The Italian-Brazilian coach couldn't have asked for more in view of the decisive return leg of the Champions League play-offs on Wednesday in Eindhoven. High morale and top form, as demonstrated by the high-intensity second half.

Great disappointment for Inter who, after the superiority of the first half and Dumfries' goal, drops as the distance goes and fails to overtake Napoli at the top of the table. An away game that is still hard to digest for Simone Inzaghi's Italian champions.

DUMFRIES STAKE.

Motta starts with Conceicao and Nico Gonzalez supporting Kolo Muani, Inzaghi with the Lautaro-Taremi duo. The start of the match is anything but tactical, as if the memory of the pyrotechnic 4-4 of the first leg was still a little in the air. The Nerazzurri take control of the game by exploiting the synchronization on the left flank between Bastoni, Dimarco and Mkhitaryan and above all the strides of Dumfries on the right.

The Dutchman shows off all the horsepower of the difference between his engine and that of Savona and at the end of the half hits a post that freezes the Allianz Stadium for a few seconds. But it is already around the quarter of an hour that the Nerazzurri pick up the pace and come close to taking the lead first with Taremi with an overhead kick (great save by Di Gregorio) and then with the usual Dumfries, inaccurate with his header from an inviting position.

The averted danger wakes Juventus up and the Bianconeri react immediately. Weah invents a Pirlo-style change of play for Nico Gonzalez, but first the Argentine and then Conceicao run into a super Sommer. Kolo Muani, on the other hand, takes half an hour to enter the scene in his first Italian derby.

The Frenchman, after a lot of cold and as many empty runs, takes advantage of a defensive “sleep” by Inter and tries to surprise Sommer with a poisonous conclusion. The game continues in flashes, more Nerazzurri than Bianconeri. The most dangerous one, net of Dumfries' post, falls to Lautaro, who however fires a sort of moving penalty into the curve.

CONCEICAO GOAL

Thuram comes out of the locker room and warms up the Stadium and Juventus with a percussion from area to area. Taremi imitates him a few minutes later, also without success. Thiago Motta and Inzaghi, close to the hour mark, try to shift the balance with substitutions.

The Juventus player brings on Cambiaso, absent in the last few games, to plug Dumfries. The Inter player replaces three in one go: in comes Zalewski, Carlos Augusto and Thuram. Juventus prevails, gaining ground, confidence and danger as the minutes pass. A push that is rewarded with a quarter of an hour to go when Kolo Muani wins a duel in the area with a large number of Inter defenders and frees Conceicao who beats Sommer with his left foot and makes both Thiago Motta, who cannot hold back his exultation, and the 41 thousand Juventus fans explode.

The euphoria for the 1-0 drags Juventus and shortly after the Bianconeri almost double with Koopmeiners. Inzaghi plays the Correa card for the end. While Motta, as if he were playing chess with his rival, first inserts Locatelli to increase substance and management of the game and then also Yildiz in place of Conceicao.

Thanks.
